CALL YOUR SENATORS TO SUPPORT THE ROHINGYA
As you likely know by now, the Rohingya people of Burma (Myanmar) have been targeted for destruction and genocide simply because of their religious and ethnic identity. And we know that, as Jews, we cannot remain silent in the face of such atrocities.
The Senate just introduced the Burma Human Rights and Freedom Act (S. 1186) — a crucial piece of legislation that will help the Rohingya people in this desperate time by:
- Authorizing desperately needed humanitarian assistance for hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees
- Holding Burmese military officials accountable for their crimes via economic sanctions and visa denials
- And calling for justice for the Rohingya people, who have faced unspeakable human rights violations.
Let’s speak out against hatred and genocide with a united Jewish call-in day TODAY, April 12th. Call-in information and a suggested script are below.
So pick up the phone — and make some noise!
Make Noise: Call-In Day
