On the Clean Power Plan

The Clean Power Plan is designed to reduce greenhouse gases from power plants, the largest single source of carbon pollution. The plan is a national strategy and ruling put forward by the Environmental Protection Agency with flexibility to support emissions reductions in each state, according to its individual energy mix. Recently, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a stay of the Clean Power Plan, which has temporarily allowed states to stop moving forward on compliance and implementation and stalled our emissions reductions.
