FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: JEWISH C0UNCIL FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC INFORMATION May 4, 1999 -- New York, NY -- The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) has hired Sigalit A. Rubinson to lead the organization's public communications efforts. As Director of Public Information, Rubinson will manage all aspects of public and press relations, which includes the organization's web site and publications. Rubinson recently relocated to New York from Berkeley, California where she served as Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council, East Bay Region. While there, she worked with coalitions on various community relations issues such as immigration issues and welfare reform and organized a Mayoral Candidates Forum for Oakland residents. Prior to her appointment at the JCRC, Rubinson was the Program Manager at the World Affairs Council of Northern California. Most recently, she was a publicist in the entertainment industry. "We at the JCPA are delighted to have someone with Siggy's expertise on board," says Lawrence Rubin, JCPA Executive Vice Chairman.
