Jewish Council for Public Affairs Launches New Web Site

Site Offers Quick and Easy Access to all JCPA Policy and Programs

New York - December 7, 1999 - The Jewish Council for Public Affairs announced the launch of its new and improved web site today. The site, www.jewishpublicaffairs.org, provides easy access to all JCPA policy positions, resolutions and statements, action alerts, legislative updates, services and publications, including archives. It also links to the web sites of all the JCPA member agencies, related organizations and media and graduate programs.

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs is the public affairs arm of the organized American Jewish community and serves as the national coordinating and advisory body for the 13 national and 122 local agencies comprising the field of Jewish community relations.

Steven Schwarz, the JCPA’s Chair, hailed the launch of the site. "In today’s internet era, it is increasingly important to be ‘wired’. This new site is user-friendly and comprehensive, and should serve as a valuable tool for anyone interested in public policy or the Jewish community."

Sigalit Rubinson, JCPA’s Director of Public Information, added, "This new, dynamic technology allows the agency to be ‘real time’ responsive to breaking issues of importance to the community."

The web site was designed by Santis Web Design of Palo Alto, CA.
